Mikaela goes to the Doctor

Another long day: This has been an amazing trip but if I could make one little complaint it would be that the constant touring, running around constantly and going going is hard. we are tired!!!! we got back to room at 230 today and we all literally passed out!
Anyways the visit to the Dr was a great success: Quel surprise she fell in love with Mikaela... said it was rare to see a baby so happy, strong and alert! She also said it was very clear to her that there was some very good attachment going on which made us very happy. Mikaela is in the 70th percentile re weight and the 50th re height (this all according to Chinese standards). She had bronchitis (which is what we both caught) and we were given some satchets to give to her to help with her congestion as she still has some. She seemed to love being examined. Overall the message was that she is a very healthy baby which just made Mom and Dad very happy.
Tomorrow another big day-Tianmenan Square and The Forbidden City. My cold is still not gone but I am convinced it will be by tomorrow. Mark is 100 percent today. My Chinese teacher Zhile taught us a lot about the Forbidden City so I am really looking forward to seeing it and I still remember the stand off at Tiamanen Square in the late 80's so that will be a very special experience as well.
So once again off to bed; to be ready for this busy day. We realized today that we are coming home in 4 days and we are both very happy about this. It will be great to be back in our home with Mikaela and our beloved pets getting back to a regular life. It will also be nice to have a washing machine at our disposal. It feels like we have been gone forever.
