Today we become parents!
This is it: It is 729am in Chongqing China and at aprox 4pm today we will meet Mikaela. We filled out tonz of paperwork yesterday for her and saw a more recent picture of her- adorable. We also got her finding announcement in newspaper considered a treasure by most.
Our group we are travelling with are really nice. We got lucky once again... all french but they are always looking out for us to make sure we understand everything. We are really enjoying them. We did not think we would enjoy group travel as we are so independent but it has it's perks... we have really connected with a few cool couples. Our guide is very good as well.
We spent yesterday exploring the city; it is so different than Beijing; much more stares here. 30 million people live here can you even imagine? Looks like a Chinese Vegas at night.
Today we will tour old city and then at aprox 4pm go to Civil Affairs and meet Mikaela!!!!!! what will that feel like? no idea. I know I feel nervous and excited but beyond that- what will it feel like to be handed our daughter? cannot imagine.
Our room has a little crib waiting for her and we have all our formula and cereals awaiting our princess.
So... down for breakfast and my next post will include pictures of her... you just have to hold on a bit like we do!
